The JCD Gin Basil Smash.

What you’ll need…

Ingredients:

  • 10-12 Basil Leaves (9-10 for smashing / 1-2 for garnish)

  • 50ml JCD Dairy Gin

  • 25ml Fresh Lemon Juice

  • 12.5ml Sugar Syrup

To make/serve:

  • Cocktail Shaker

  • Fine Strainer

  • Ice - Cubed

  • Rocks Glass (Also known as an Old Fashioned or Low-Ball Glass)

How to make it…

  1. Squeeze half a lemon or 22.5ml of freshly squeezed lemon juice into your cocktail shaker, using your hands smash together the basil (9-10 leaves) to release the flavour and also drop them into the shaker, pour in 50ml of our Dairy Gin and 12.5ml of any unflavored sugar syrup.

  2. Drop in a few cubes of ice and give it a good shake!

  3. Prepare a Rocks Glass with ice and then fine strain the mixture over the ice, into the glass, and garnish with the remaining Basil leaves.

  4. Enjoy!
